Construction

Me, Jessie, and my Dad went up Monday to put together the camp site. We excavated, then erected the condo. We collected tons of firewood. And we posted off where the water is so we can dig right to it this year. It was a super fun day.

Changes

So I am making some pretty major changes to my plans for the future. At least for the next few years. I have decided to go to school. I had started college about 6 years ago when I worked at Qwest but quickly dropped out after 2 weeks. I was not motivated at all. I felt succesful enough in my work I guess I just didn't feel it important to do the whole school thing. However since the economy tanking I have taken a new look at things. I have not been working since Oct 2 and it's been nice to just have some time to think about stuff. I am excited for my new future and what it may bring.

New Addition for Winter Camp This Year

So for the past almost 19 years since we have been winter camping we have either slept under the stars or just put up a tent when weather was bad. But this year we are building a nice little shack. This is a pic of it with a couple of the walls put together. It will be lined with roofing paper and everything to ensure no water gets in. We will fill it with about a foot deep of straw for insulation. Monday or Tuesday if the weather holds we are going to take it up in pieces and assemble it up at the camp site so its ready to roll. During the winter it will be under up to 15 feet or more of snow, so we will need to dig steps down into the entry. It's going to be totally out of the wind and the elements. Should be pretty sick!!! I will get some pics after we put it up and then post more when winter hits.

The B

Me and Tucker went to the Burton Premier tonight. It was super good. Lots of good riding. Crazy to see how much progression happens every single year. When you think that it just can't get any better it does.

Pics of Snowbird Today!!!

Fall is here and it is looking a bit more like Winter up at the bird. Take a peek of some lucky folks who hiked for some turns today!
